A family Pride event in London this Saturday!
Lotte will be reading her book with the fabulous story-telling Drag Queen Mama G!
This Saturday is Family Pride Day at Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, South East London. There'll be shows, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, food and drinks from the Arsenal farmers market and you'll even be able to join in the pride parade with Elmer the Patchwork Elephant!
From 12pm-5pm there will be live music from 90s Brit Award nominated pop star Lolly (who can forget the camp classic ‘Hey Mickey!’) and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Dame Nation. Also throughout the day catch Drag from Britain’s first out Muslim Drag Queen Asifa Lahore and comedian Richard Energy; dance from the stigma smashing Ballet in the Park theatre and walkabout theatre from The Dust Busters.
At 4.15pm over on the stage at James Clavell Square you’ll find Lotte and the illustrator of My Magic Family Sharon Davies reading the book with the help of
Mama G!
The event also features equality educational resource facilitators Pop‘n’Olly, Slug Needs a Hug author Jeanne Willis; workshops, family games and don’t forget the Community Pride Parade lead by gay elephant ICON Elmer The Patchwork Elephant.
